Date Posted: 2026-04-21 Country: Malaysia Location: Otis Elevator Company (M) Sdn Bhd, 15-01 Menara Symphony, No 5, Jalan Semangat, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan , Malaysia Manager, Accounting Key responsibilities: Own and manage the full general ledger function for 2–3 legal entities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all accounting records Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end close process across all entities. Review and approve journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclass entries Review and sign off on all balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Identify and resolve aged, unexplained, or unsupported items. Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process across all entities under responsibility and statutory-to GAAP reconciliation Ensure proper processes are in place for timely recording of inventory transactions. Coordinate cycle counts and stock-takes and investigate major variations. Review and properly account for E&O inventory Handle company secretarial functions Continuously review and improve accounting processes, close workflows, and reporting tools to drive efficiency and reduce manual effort Drive process improvements, standardization, and system enhancements Support management reporting and ad-hoc finance analysis as required Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance and / or a chartered qualification in either (ACCA, CPA, MIA etc) Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing a GL function Experience working with shared service centers (SSC) and managing cross-functional stakeholders Strong analytical mindset with the ability to review large volumes of data, spot anomalies, and make sound accounting judgements. High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and completeness Familiarity with ERP systems Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
