QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong foundation in financial reporting and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is an asset but not required.

THE ROLE

As an Accounting Manager at Parklane Mechanical Acoustics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for contributing to financial reporting, analyzing financial data, and implementing best practices in accounting. Your work will contribute to Parklane’s continued growth by maintaining accurate financial records and providing insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance reporting results including ratios, KPIs to the Director of Finance.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate postings and reconciliations
• Take ownership of your month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting. Experience in intercompany reconciliations and consolidation procedures.
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide financial insights to leadership.
• Maintain cash flow model on a timely basis and highlight and communicate any issues to Director of Finance
• Support tax compliance efforts, including preparing documentation for corporate tax filings and liaising with external tax advisors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiencies.
• Participate in financial audits and reviews and ensure timely responses to their inquiries.
