REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education & Experience: BA – Accounting Required and a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Certification: CPA Required (Near completion will be considered)
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with YARDI is a plus. Proficient with online collaboration tools such as Asana, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities, creative thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Accounting Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing corporate-level accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on tax and audit functions. This role will also support strategic initiatives across the organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with experience in public accounting (audit and/or tax), and a strong understanding of corporate financial structures. Responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Accounting Oversight: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities.
  • Tax & Audit Leadership: Lead coordination with external auditors and tax advisors; manage tax filings, audit schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP; ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Controllers, Assistant Controllers, and FP&A to align reporting and strategic goals.
  • Technical Accounting: Research and resolve complex accounting issues; maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
