POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our finance and Administration team, assisting and overseeing the day-to-day activities of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Reconciliation/Reporting and Payment processing. This position is responsible for accurate processing of accounting transactions, participating in month-end procedures, and related reporting. This position will work closely with our Operations and Accounting teams, and report directly to the Owners.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Full-cycle Accounting:
· Accounts Receivable and Collections functions
· Accounts Payable functions
· Accrual accounting, amortization schedules, Adjusting Journal Entries
· Bank Reconciliations
· Intercompany transactions
· Sales tax reporting and remittances
· Assist with payroll questions and understanding of all employer statutory deductions
· T4 reconciliation and management
· GST/HST Filings
· WSIB Filings
· Manage banking functions – deposits, electronic payments, stop payments etc.
· Analyse Monthly Financial statements and explain significant changes month over month, for executive review.
· Assist with the preparation of month and year end deadlines in a timely, accurate and effective manner with minimum supervision
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Other duties or special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Post-secondary school diploma/degree in accounting; An accounting designation would be an asset
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written
· Keen attention to detail
· 5-10 Years experience with full-cycle accounting
· 3-5 years experience in managing/supervising staff
· Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office software, Payroll processing systems, Quickbooks Online
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, etc.
· Must enjoy being part of a team and contributing to its success with tasks while still being able to work independently on tasks.
· Must be able to work well in a busy, fast-paced office environment to meet deadlines.
· Must be willing and open to learning and adapting as needed.
· Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and orally
· Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues, request guidance and resolve them in a timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
