An opening for an Interim Accounting Manager that is determined and experienced is waiting to be filled from Robert Half for a growing and dynamic company. In this Accounting Manager role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations as the Accounting Manager. Located in Brookfield, Wisconsin, this short-term contract / temporary job position is an enormous opportunity to work for a company that will value your efforts.
What you get to do every day
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures
Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes

• Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
• Adeptness in Month-end Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Construction Accounting
• Command of construction
• General familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation
• Foundational knowledge in journal entries
• Solid understanding of Accounting management
• Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation
• Ledger Journal Entries experience highly desired
• Recent relevant financial experience
• Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
• Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
