About this role As an Accounting Manager/Senior Accounting Leader based in Navi Mumbai you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial records in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements. This position provides leadership to a team of accounting individual contributors and ensures accounting activity recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. Responsible for daily oversight and training needs of team, driving automation, streamlining through standardization, and ensuring monthly closing and invoicing comply with contractual requirements. In this role, you will lead one or more teams of professionals and/or first-line leaders of operational support employees. You will need to have knowledge of the business operations of your discipline or functional area. You will need to fully understand these business operations, cost flows, inventory movement, contractual obligations, and how teams work together to achieve operational objectives. You should be able to guide and persuade others, both internally and externally, to adopt a different point of view. It is your responsibility to be able to identify technical and operational problems and recognize and understand broader impacts across multiple teams within your discipline or functional area. You will need to be able to lead one or more similar teams of professional individual contributors within your discipline. You also may lead teams of technical operations, business operations, or operational support employees who may or may not have supervisors. You will set priorities and allocate resources to align with business objectives and plans of execution. Your work is guided by policies and departmental plan and your performance impacts your team’s ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. Key Responsibilities – Ensure timely and accurate execution of accounting activities in line with company standards, which could include: Identify and appropriately communicate potential risks and identify improvement opportunities Lead team to solve technical and operational accounting problems that have broad impact across multiple teams Oversees recording and monitoring of contractual obligations; ensures activity is accurate, complete, and compliant to accounting standards Detailed understanding of agreements to ensure globally compliant with all tax and legal requirements, cost flows, and legal invoicing requirements Monitor and maintain work processes to ensure internal control and data integrity Employee development across varied levels of employees Internal and External Audit support Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in commerce; Chartered Accountant or US CPA preferred. Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial accounting with US GAAP Proficient in financial accounting Leadership experience of large teams Fluent in English (both written and spoken) Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Power Query, and Excel Your Skills Influential leadership Strong cross-functional relationships Analytical mindset Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented approach to processes Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across levels and functions Additional Notes Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
