Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations within our construction-focused organization in Surrey, British Columbia. This role involves managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the financial health of various projects. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing activities.
  • Manage financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems, such as ERP and BlackLine, to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for project management and decision-making.
  • Conduct audits to ensure financial records are accurate and align with established policies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage budgets and track expenses for construction initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll through systems like ADP.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts to support organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting management or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP, BlackLine, and Concur.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, such as ADP, and their integration with accounting processes.
  • Experience in accounting for construction projects, including budget management and expense tracking.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
