Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our organization’s financial activities. Based in Paducah, Kentucky, this role requires a meticulous individual who can manage accounting functions while supporting compliance and reporting needs. Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including month-end closings, bank reconciliations, payroll, and billing processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including purchase orders and inventory tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements while assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external partners on financial projects and initiatives.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide support for the preparation and consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain organizational financial health.
  • Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience of 5+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and documents.
  • Experience in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Familiarity with auditing practices and the preparation of financial statements.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a related industry and certifications demonstrating attention to detail are a plus but not required.
