JOB SCOPE:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities in the company. This includes managing product costing, inventory, financial reporting, and compliance. The role supports day-to-day finance operations, works closely with production and supply chain teams, and ensures accurate and timely financial records.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of costing, inventory, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel and accounting system skills.
  • Good communication, responsible, meticulous, maintaining timeline commitments and team management skills.
Responsibilities
  • FINANCIAL REPORTING:Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and provide financial reports to management.
  • COSTING & INVENTORY:Manage costing of food products, track raw materials, packaging, labor, and overhead. Monitor and reconcile inventory including raw materials, WIP (work in progress), and finished goods.
  • BUDGETING & FORECASTING:Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts. Track actual performance vs. budget and explain key differences.
  • INTERNAL CONTROLS & COMPLIANCE:Ensure proper controls are in place for accounting and inventory. Support audits and follow accounting standards and food industry regulations.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT:Lead and supervise a small team of accountants or finance staff. Provide training and performance feedback.
  • ERP & SYSTEMS:Use accounting software to manage financial and inventory data accurately.
  • COLLABORATION:Work with production, warehouse, procurement, and quality teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory tracking.
