With roots dating back to the 1950s as MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), a distributor of Jeep parts and accessories, TeraFlex brings decades of experience and deep platform knowledge across CJ and Wrangler vehicles. In 1996, TeraFlex began manufacturing components in-house to meet the growing demand for heavy-duty off-road suspension systems for the newly released TJ Wrangler. General Job Summary The Accounting Manager will lead out in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting management through budgeting, financial analysis, and managerial accounting activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. Qualifications Required Skills, Certifications, and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) Master’s degree in Accounting and/or CPA designation (strongly preferred) Minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience in public accounting or related private industry accounting Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards Experience with manufacturing environments, cost accounting, and internal controls Key Competencies Working knowledge of accounting software; experience with Aptean’s Intuitive is a plus but not required Experience with Paycom a plus but not required Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial data Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Solid understanding of payroll, managerial accounting, and financial accounting Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to individuals with varying levels of financial expertise Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Strong initiative, organization, and time-management skills Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision while asking questions when appropriate Key Responsibilities, Duties, and Functions Own and oversee the integrity of the general ledger and financial records Perform cash flow forecasts and ensure timely payment of vendors Manage semi-monthly payroll, including payroll processing, payroll-related journal entries, and accounts payable entries Monitor and reconcile all financial accounts and transactions. Identify opportunities for process efficiencies within financial operations Prepare financial and operational reports for management Support cross departmental collaborations and process improvement initiatives Manage corporate credit card programs, including expense reporting and recording Perform monthly bank reconciliations and related adjusting journal entries Oversee regulatory filings including property taxes, sales and use taxes, 1099s, and payroll taxes Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts Assist with the annual financial audit process Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team Support managerial accounting functions, including budget preparation, reporting, and follow-up with department managers Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned Support Human Resources with open enrollment and benefit administration Physical Demands Ability to work at a desk for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day Work Environment General office environment No strenuous physical activity required
