OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager directly supervises 2-3 staff members and is responsible for all daily accounting operations, GL management, bank reporting support and audits, and operational improvement initiatives. This position reports directly to the CFO and works closely with other departments and is involved in collaborative strategic decision making. This individual should have experience as Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager and should be a CPA or have significant progress toward certification.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting and Operations Accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and analyze financial data effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of automated accounting systems such as QuickBooks, proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or Access a plus.

    Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including journal entries, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Ensure department’s compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, monthly Financial Statements and assist CFO with bank relationships and reporting.
  • Oversee projects and initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, and best practices across the organization.
  • Oversee recording of journal entries for daily and month-end reporting, including transferring data from LeaseWorks lending platform to QuickBooks.
  • Oversee 199 process.
