Job Details Job Location: Toyotetsu America Inc - Somerset, KY 42503 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: First The Accounting Manager at Toyotetsu America is responsible for overseeing the financial operations within the manufacturing sector, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role involves managing accounting functions, developing financial strategies, and leading a team to support the company's financial health and compliance with industry standards. Oversee the financial operations of the plant including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives, providing financial insights and recommendations. Manage Cost Reduction/Profit Improvement Program Manage the annual budgeting process, including the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Manage Inventory Costing activities and analysis. Analyze production inventories, including raw material, work in process and finished goods. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Analyze Bills of Material for all parts to ensure accurate costing Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial position. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections Proven record of work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Strong knowledge and background in reporting, budgeting, and cost control principles Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Continuous improvement mindset. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
