Accounting Manager Location: Buffalo, NY | Full-Time UB Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights that support organizational goals. What You’ll Do: * Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. * Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and journal entries. * Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting to support strategic decisions. * Ensure compliance with SOX, tax regulations, and other relevant standards. * Mentor and train junior accounting staff, promoting best practices in financial management. * Prepare and interpret financial reports for management and collaborate with external auditors. * Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, etc.) for efficient operations. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MBA preferred. * Proven experience in corporate, public, or non-profit accounting. * Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management. * Proficiency in Excel and accounting software. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Experience mentoring or training staff is highly desirable.
