Description

Our client, a lifestyle skateboarding brand, is seeking a strategic Accounting Manager to lead its financial operations and support its growth agenda. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, capital management, compliance, and reporting, while ensuring the financial health of the business aligns with the brand’s creative vision. This is an opportunity to shape the future of one of Nigeria’s most influential youth-focused brands from the inside out.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or Master’s is a plus).
  • ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification is required.
  • 5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle, or youth culture-driven brands is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling a business and/or preparing for funding rounds.
  • Strong skills in forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and financial presentation abilities.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

    Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support the brand’s short- and long-term objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, cash flow management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Oversee capital raising efforts including investor relations, grant applications, and funding rounds.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the board and executive leadership.
  • Drive financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business planning and brand expansion.
  • Monitor cost structures across production, marketing, retail, and logistics to maximise profitability.
  • Manage inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and margin analysis.
  • Partner with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and legal advisors as needed.
  • Lead the digital transformation of finance functions, including ERP and POS integrations.
  • Advise on product pricing, retail metrics, and overall financial health of revenue streams.
  • Develop finance SOPs and training materials to support operational efficiency.
