Our mission is to inspire respect and equality for people with an intellectual disability by promoting community knowledge, organizational excellence and individual quality of life. The agency oversees services in Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough, running with an approximate annual budget of $20 million. Full-time Accounting Officer
37.5 Hours/Week- 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Starting Annual Salary - $56,569.50 (Annual Salary Range of: $56,569.50 – $62,575.50) (Biweekly Salary range of: $2,175.75-$2,406.75)
Position to be based in Lindsay at our Kawartha Lakes Main Office, in-person position
Valid Driver’s licence required, as some driving may be necessary to our other offices.
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the assigned incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Finance Department with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Payroll and other general accounting functions. Our ideal candidate brings broad bookkeeping/accounting experience, general administration as well as a strong team and customer service orientation.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • A degree/diploma in Accounting or Payroll Administration
  • Adhereance to CLTH’s Covid vaccination Policy
  • Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Sceening
  • Valis Class G Driver’s Licenese and Acceptable Driver’s Abstract
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience with Finance
  • Account analysis and reconciliation skills
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet design and data analysis
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft office, e-mail, internet)
  • Dayforce and Sage Intacct software experience is an asset
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment is an asset
