POSITION SUMMARY In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Mimosa Cityscapes, Inc., and under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Compliance Officer shall mainly be responsible for regulatory compliance with BIR, SEC, CDC, and PAGCOR, and shall disseminate the latest regulatory issuances or memoranda to the company and ensure the compliance program is accordingly updated. Key Areas: Meets and Exceeds Customers and Team Members' Expectations Compliance Officer Duties and Responsibilities Health, Safety, and Hygiene General Responsibilities SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Meets and Exceeds Customers and Team Members' Expectations Establishes and communicates customer service objectives which support achievements of Quest Plus Mission and Vision. Monitors customer service levels. Responds to customer requests. Performs other duties as required to provide "Only the BEST for our Guests!" service and teamwork. 2. Duties and Responsibilities Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting tax laws and regulations in the Philippines (SEC, CDC, BIR). Coordinates with AR Team to ensure that sales invoices are properly recorded. Coordinates with AP Team to ensure that all expenses of the company are BIR compliant as per guidelines on "allowable deductions from gross income". Coordinate with the management regarding control of monthly/quarterly/annual tax payments for their approval Ensure compliance with all government (BIR, CDC, SEC) reportorial requirement. Keep up to date with the latest pronouncements on accounting practices for BIR, SEC, CDC rulings Identify tax issues and provide guidance to management on tax planning strategies Maintain accurate tax records and documentation of other government-related agencies Preparation of tax returns, contract review, and ensure timely filing/payment Liaise and provide assistance on regulatory requirements (BIR/CDC/SEC and banks) Calculate and advise management on compliance/non-compliance with bank covenants Filing and monitoring of JOs in Sapphire system Processing, monitoring, and liquidation of advances Process payment requisitions for tax-related payments Prepare month-end schedules and reconciliations of accounts related to CDC, BIR, SEC, and Advances Perform other duties as assigned 3.Health, Safety, and Hygiene Complies with safety standards Complies with set standards of the hotel 4. General Responsibilities Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for better management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative, harmonious working climate At all times, projects a favorable image of Mimosa Cityscapes Inc. to the public Practices the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Mimosa Cityscapes Inc.
