Filinvest Company: Hospitality Enterprise Resources Corp. Position Title: Accounting Officer Location: Northgate, Alabang Muntinlupa City. Job Summary: The Accounting Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. They will supervise a team of accountants, provide guidance and training as needed, and collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and achieve organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify areas of improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate and assist with external audits and tax filings, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors and tax authorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, resolve issues, and support business initiatives. Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and feedback to foster professional growth and performance excellence. Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant changes to the accounting team. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CFO or Accounting Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results. Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
