This is a remote position. This role blends hands-on accounting responsibilities with client-facing interactions, while providing valuable exposure to a wide range of financial processes. You will act as reliable backup support for the team, helping ensure smooth workflow during peak seasons or staff absences. Responsibilities Respond professionally to client emails and internal communications Perform accurate bookkeeping using QuickBooks and other accounting platforms Manage project accounting tasks and client billing processes Handle accounts payable and maintain strong vendor relationships Assist in corporate tax preparation and filing Prepare customized financial reports based on client needs Communicate directly with clients on accounting matters and project status Support payroll processing and related compliance requirements Provide backup coverage for team members when needed Adapt to changing priorities and follow evolving workflows Requirements Proven bookkeeping experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction Ability to work consistently during Eastern Time Zone business hours Strong reliability, professionalism, and attendance record Willingness to learn new processes and follow detailed instructions Bonus: Experience with project management software Plus: Knowledge of Canadian accounting practices and regulations Independent Contractor Perks Permanent work-from-home setup Immediate hiring ZR_29174_JOB
