Description Objective This position is responsible for leading and stabilizing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, improving team performance, strengthening controls, and building scalable, efficient processes for future growth. The role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage people, address team dynamics, and drive accountability while supporting daily operations as needed. Full Time Benefits Included Health Insurance Health Savings Account Flexible Spending Account Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) matching up to 4% (Roth optional) Life Insurance STD & LTD, and AD&D Paid Time Off Anniversary Recognition Employee beer, merchandise, and food discounts Essential Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of 5 Clerks (4 AP, 1 AR), establishing clear expectations, ownership, and consistent accountability for performance and results Stabilize AP/AR operations by identifying and addressing process gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for control improvement Own and optimize end-to-end AP and AR processes (invoice-to-pay, cash application, collections), ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and consistently followed Proactively manage team performance, including providing direct feedback and reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors, streamline workflows, and strengthen controls ensuring issues are identified, communicated, and resolved promptly – Act as a hands-on leader, stepping into day-to-day operations (invoice processing, inbox management, etc.) as needed to maintain continuity and service levels Drive practical process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and position the functions for future efficiency and scale Additional Responsibilities Partner cross-functionally to improve upstream and downstream processes Monitor and report on key operational metrics to drive continuous improvement Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of AP/AR processes, internal controls, and workflow design Skilled in managing direct reports, including performance management and coaching Ability to address conflict, drive accountability, and influence team behavior constructively Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities Ability Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions Physical & Mental Requirements Standard office environment; ability to perform administrative and operational duties, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.
