Description

WHAT WE DO:

Halcyon is the industry’s first dedicated, adaptive security platform that combines multiple proprietary advanced prevention engines along with AI models focused specifically on stopping ransomware.

WHO WE ARE:

Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. Comprised of leaders from Cylance (now Blackberry), Accuvant (now Optiv), Fireye and ISS X-Force (now IBM), Halcyon is focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.
As a remote-native, completely distributed global team, we recognize great talent can exist anywhere. We invite you to apply to a job you’re interested in and we’ll work a plan to meet your needs.
We’re looking for an Accounting Operations Specialist to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to our VP of Accounting, Jackie Fenn, this role will own the full Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles—including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, reimbursements, and cash flow forecasting. You’ll also oversee tax compliance in Avalara and play a key role in strengthening accounting operations as Halcyon scales.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of AR & AP cycles.
  • Review contracts in Salesforce/ERP; generate accurate invoices and manage collections.
  • Oversee sales tax compliance via Avalara (all registrations current).
  • Process ~200 vendor bills/month via Bill.com; prepare timely vendor payments.
  • Review Expensify employee expense reports; process reimbursements.
  • Forecast weekly cash collections/payments; communicate expected flows to the team.
  • Reconcile daily cash activity to ERP and partner with the Senior Accountant to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support annual audit preparation and participate in ad-hoc accounting projects.
