  • Your New RoleAs the Accounting & Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role within the finance team, supporting payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, compliance, and general accounting functions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate closely with finance, operations, project management, and HR teams while gaining broad exposure to the financial operations of a growing business.Key responsibilities will include:Processing weekly payroll for approximately 110 employees
  • Reviewing and validating employee timesheets and payroll approvals
  • Allocating labour costs to the appropriate jobs and projects
  • Managing payroll changes, source deductions, RRSP contributions, and payroll compliance requirements
  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices on a weekly basis
  • Processing customer remittances and supporting collections activities
  • Monitoring outstanding receivables and conducting customer follow-up
  • Entering vendor invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Processing vendor payments and expense submissions
  • Supporting HST filings, employer health tax filings, remittances, and other compliance requirements
  • Assisting with employee onboarding and benefits administration
  • Supporting finance and operational teams with various administrative duties

  • What You'll Need to SucceedTo be considered for this opportunity, you will bring:A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field combined with 1-2 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a related finance function
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • A strong aptitude for technology and process improvement
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPA studies are considered an asset but are not required

Candidates with an Accounts Payable background who are looking to expand into broader accounting and payroll responsibilities are encouraged to apply.
