Description
Description Why This Role Matters This role primarily supports the accuracy and flow of accounting operations, while maintaining close coordination with production and inventory. You will play a key role in ensuring invoices, reconciliations, and financial data are correct and timely, while also supporting the operational inputs that drive those numbers. When this role is done well, financial records are clean, discrepancies are caught early, vendors and customers are handled professionally, and production data flows accurately into accounting. Who This Role Is a Good Fit For You are detail-oriented and naturally skeptical of numbers until they tie out. You enjoy reconciliation, tracking down discrepancies, and keeping records clean. You are comfortable working in ERP systems and Excel daily. You can communicate clearly with both accounting and operations teams. You take ownership of your work and follow through consistently. Who This Role Is Likely Not a Fit For You prefer purely operational or production-focused roles. You are not comfortable working with financial data or reconciliations. You struggle with attention to detail or managing multiple deadlines. You prefer highly repetitive work with little variation or problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Accounting (Primary Focus) Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including reconciliation and follow-up. Maintain accurate invoice records, perform account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies. Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoices, payments, and account status. Support month-end close activities through data validation and reporting. Ensure accuracy of financial data entered into ERP systems. Production & Inventory Support (Secondary) Support production-related data entry to ensure accurate costing and inventory tracking. Assist with Job Traveler review and closure to ensure alignment with material usage and job completion. Verify inventory transactions and help resolve discrepancies impacting financial reporting. Maintain accurate due dates and job status updates within the ERP system. Coordinate product transfers between facilities as needed. Administrative & Communication Enter, track, and maintain data across ERP systems, spreadsheets, and internal documents. Provide regular updates to Accounting and Operations leadership on outstanding items and issues. Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment between production activity and financial reporting. Follow all safety standards when accessing manufacturing or warehouse areas. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Qualifications Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (A/R, A/P, reconciliations). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, efficient, and self-directed. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of accounting or accounting-heavy administrative experience. Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment. Familiarity with ERP systems that integrate accounting and production data. What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days You are independently handling A/R and A/P support tasks with accuracy. Reconciliations are completed consistently with minimal errors. Discrepancies are identified early and resolved quickly. You understand how production and inventory activity impacts financials. Accounting leadership trusts the accuracy and completeness of your work. Physical & Work Environment Onsite role within an office connected to a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Frequent computer use for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 50 lbs. Occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and stooping. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their accounting experience while gaining exposure to how financial accuracy connects to real-world manufacturing operations.
