Job Title: Accounting Project Manager Job Description The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and performing expense accruals at month-end to ensure company expenses are properly and adequately recorded according to GAAP. This role involves project setup, reconciliation of large volume general ledger accounts, and supporting the rollout of self-distribution projects for the accounting group. The analyst will collaborate with multiple business users to define project requirements and perform system testing from an accounting perspective, acting as a liaison for handling inventory adjustment exceptions. Responsibilities Quickly identify and solve problems that may arise during a project. Demonstrate the ability to apply accounting principles to analyze and prepare financial information. Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions. Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary. Prepare spreadsheets and streamline processes by utilizing Excel to download/upload data. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 4-5 years of accounting-related experience. CPA certification or CPA candidate. Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate to advanced computer skills for producing reports and spreadsheets. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications System implementation or project experience is a plus. Public accounting experience is a plus. Work Environment The selection process includes two rounds of interviews. Candidates will demonstrate their ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
