GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Accounting Specialist capable of performing all necessary accounting functions for the business while also supporting tax management. Specifically, the candidate will examine financial information, enter transactions into the accounting system (QuickBooks), and set up client files. In addition, the candidate will monitor records, ledgers, and filing systems of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. They will prepare financial forms, reports, and documents by collecting and analyzing accounting information. They will assist with tax filings and oversee payroll processing. They will prepare for and support internal and external audits, review employee expense reports, perform necessary subledger accounting, roll content to and perform accounting at the general ledger level, perform ledger month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, and produce necessary reports in support of business execution.
EDUCATION:
Associate’s degree and 5+ years of work-related experience or a combination of both.
EXPERIENCE:
5 years’ experience supporting a Defense contractor, providing direct accounting support a plus.
