Accounting Specialist at AllCare Health with the Finance department in Grants Pass, Oregon We Are Seeking Qualified Candidates to Join Our Team! Summary This position is responsible for analyzing and recording financial information to maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities within the organization by performing the following duties. Essential Duties 1. Prepares and inputs financial transactions into general ledger system, manages daily bank transactions, including reconciling cash receipts, disbursements, direct debits, and bank fees. 2. Performs various month-end closing activities including journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and account and bank reconciliations. 3. Assists in maintaining controls over accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of the general ledger. 4. Processes monthly corporate card statements for payment. 5. Processes accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor communication. 6. Assists in the preparation of internal financial reports and supports monthly and quarterly reporting cycles. 7. Ensures compliance with internal accounting policies and GAAP; assists in documenting and improving internal control procedures. 8. Prepares accounts receivable invoices and process deposits. 9. Monitors accounts receivable aging reports and facilitates appropriate outreach for past due amounts. 10. Assist in maintaining controls over accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of the general ledger. Education * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience * At least three to six months related experience and/or training in Accounting or a similar role. * Office bookkeeping experience preferred. * Experience with Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills. Technical Skills * Organization and time-management skills. * Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). * Knowledge of Sage, operating systems, programming languages, software programs, networks and other technologies. Interpersonal Skills * Demonstrate accountability, inspiring trust and confidence from others. * Work with high initiative, energy and effectiveness in a fast-past environment. * Effectively and professionally communicate with team members and customers. * Prioritize and organize work according to competing timelines. * Allocate your time so that you can complete tasks within established deadlines.
