Job Summary:      Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records payroll, and general ledger by performing the following duties. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Understands and Manifests the Philosophy and Mission of DCSSA. * Compiles and records documents, such as cash & payroll transactions. * Maintains General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Ledger. * Maintains bank accounts, including deposits and reconciliations. * Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, totals accounts to ledgers and other databases. * Reconciles and resolves GL report discrepancies. * Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures. * Processes time cards, prepares payroll and maintains payroll records using ADP. * Assists with preparation of Annual Budget. * Assists with internal and external Audits. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Handles all accounts receivable related activities, such as reconciling deposits, entering payments, & adjusting AR balances needed. COMPLEXITY OF WORK: * Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a deadline- driven environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalency. * Minimum two years previous experience with Accounts Receivables & GL. * Previous College courses in Accounting or Finance a must. * Minimum of one year payroll experience. * OMB Head Start accounting experience a plus. * Average Excel Knowledge a plus.   COMPETENCIES: * Professional, good customer service skills and ability to keep information confidential.
