Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team!
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Canada supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insight and analysis of the Canadian underwriting results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE:

  • Analyze Intact Canada’s performance vs the industry
  • Produce underwriting forecasts. Regularly update forecasts to reflect changes in the business environment
  • Analyze and understand actual underwriting results in collaboration with actuaries. Explain variances between actual performance and budget/forecasts
  • Develop and manage the Canadian underwriting budget
  • Prepare regular financial reports for internal stakeholders, such as the executive team
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance
  • Conduct adhoc financial analyses as requested by management. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis
  • Work closely with other departments to gather information and provide financial insights
  • Make recommendations and suggestions to management based on your expertise
  • Simplify, standardize, secure and increase controls of different work files
