Description We are seeking an individual for an accounting position on our Team. We are looking for an individual with a good working knowledge of standard accounting practices, who will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and projects for our businesses. Your work will directly impact our company's financial operations. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, can work independently as well as with a Team, and has excellent communication skills. This is a great opportunity to grow with our company! This position will be responsible for: Assisting with month-end close processes including scheduling and reporting. Processing and verifying invoices, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses. Managing and reconciling vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly. Preparing and processing approvals and payments, including checks and electronic transfers. Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions. Assisting in the reconciliation of the accounts payable general ledger. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to optimize payment terms with vendors. Communicating effectively with vendors and managers, resolving inquiries and addressing issues. Ensuring procedures and policies are followed. Ensuring accurate input and documentation. Accurate and timely processing. Accurate reconciliation of transactions. Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: A good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Skills and Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with AP/AR reconciliation. The scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday, and the work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. The starting hourly pay rate range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
