Description Mission Critical Group designs, manufactures and provides value-added services for customers requiring critical power solutions. Summary: The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. The successful candidate will be able to identify process improvement opportunities and better ways of working; whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail when delivering a high volume of data entry. There is also the opportunity to support inventory management - experience here is a plus. Responsibilities: · Accurately record and update financial transactions in the accounting system · Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable · Process invoices, managing payments to vendors, and collecting payments from clients · Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT · Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information · Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements · Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts Requirements Required Knowledge/Experience: · Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience · Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices Required Skill/Abilities: · Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a demanding environment. · Maintain discretion and confidentiality · Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy with data entry Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
