Description:

Robert Half is looking for a skilled candidate to join a team as an Accounting Clerk. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary employment opportunity based on-site in the Beverly Hills,, California area.

Your responsibilities

  • Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
  • Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
  • Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
  • Bank reconciliations experience
  • Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • MRI Software experience desired
  • Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
