As a Part-Time Accounting Specialist in our Outsourced Solutions Service Line, you will support clients by performing critical transactional accounting functions while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service. Reporting to a Senior Associate, you’ll assist with daily and monthly processing tasks and play an important role in client support. This role is eligible for hybrid or fully remote upon completion of an initial training period. This role would be part time at 20-25 hours per week. A Day in the Life of a Part-Time Accounting Specialist... Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare, post, and reconcile payroll. Prepare 1099 filings and compile W-9 information. Manage time effectively and compare actual hours against engagement budgets. Build proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, FloQast, and Excel. Communicate professionally with clients and team members. Support continuous process improvement. Enter time daily to support accurate billing. Participate in training, CPE, and on-the-job learning. Uphold SEK’s standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Assist with special projects as assigned. Requirements Associate Degree in Accounting or relevant experience. Client-facing or customer service experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Demonstrated professionalism and confidentiality. Curiosity, willingness to learn, and initiative. Why should you join SEK?
