Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This position is responsible for managing accounting activities for a portfolio of multiple entities within the self-storage industry. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation skills, experience with high-volume transaction processing, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Primary Responsibilities Manage accounting activities for a portfolio of multiple entities. Process and review high-volume accounts payable transactions. Prepare and post journal entries. Perform deposit and revenue reconciliations. Review budget-to-actual variances and investigate discrepancies. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding items. Assist with and complete month-end close procedures. Research and process credit card chargebacks and related adjustments. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with operations and management teams to resolve accounting issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or property accounting experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes. Experience with month-end close activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems. Ability to manage multiple entities and competing deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Experience Multi-entity accounting experience. Property management, real estate, or self-storage industry experience. Experience handling high-volume transaction environments.
