For further information about us, please check our website at yayafoods.com A career at Ya YA FOODS will offer you the opportunity to… * Build a career, not just have a job * Work in a dynamic and high-growth company with very skilled professionals * Become part of a teamwork focused culture * Be a part of an organization that supports your future growth path Reports to: Sr. Finance Manager - Ogden Responsibilities * Support the Accounts Payable function through regular communication with vendors and timely completion of vendor statement reconciliations. * Provide administrative support to Accounts Payable, including preparation of tax exemption certificates and credit applications, and scanning/transmitting documents and checks to Headquarters (Toronto). * Track and report monthly chemical and consumable usage, identifying unusual movements and cost drivers. * Monitor and analyze Maintenance & Spares (M&S) spending trends and investigate variances. * Coordinate with Site engineer to expedite PO & invoice processing for Capex. * Provide analytical support for ad-hoc requests requiring data gathering, reconciliation, and root cause analysis. * Work closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, HR) to validate data and improve cost visibility. * Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. * Any request from VP Financial Controller & CFO * Support with year end Audits. * Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements etc. * Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP. * Other duties as assigned. Profile * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required * 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis (manufacturing exposure is a plus). * Intermediatory in Microsoft Excel and prior experience with ERP systems, accounting software, financial systems is required * CPA designation or in progress is an asset * Prior accounting, costing, analysis, and financial reporting experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset * Knowledge of basic accounting procedures * Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills paired with strong conflict resolution and communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively through proper understanding of the Organization’s goals and expectations of internal customers * Ability to deliver results in a timely manner, without compromising on accuracy Why Join Us We believe that the key to creating and growing a successful business is by investing in our people—some of whom have been a part of our team for over 30-years.
