JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Supervisor (3 months Contract) will be responsible for accurate and timely financial and operational reporting, management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Oversee operational systems and responsible for ensuring full compliance with all commercial and financial policies and procedures. The Accounting Supervisor will report directly to the Aramark Executive Learning Centre Director of Finance. In the absence of the Director of Finance this position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting department working with other departments and the General Manager. The Accounting Supervisor will work with other functional department heads to ensure that financial and operational performance is met.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years’ experience in an accounting office in a complex small or midsize business environment.
  • Strong administrative and operational experiences with leadership abilities.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications & proven success in system implementation.
  • Knowledge of Profit VU & past experience with Opera systems will be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer service ability required
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full and efficient communications with all team members.
  • Maintain good relationships with Department Heads, Clients & Customers. Must be actively involved in operational issues and processes. We must work closely with all department managers and employees to ensure positive communication is in place.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, monthly financial statements, and other reports as deemed necessary to maximize efficient & profitable operations.
  • Accountable for, cash handling, accurate business forecasting, accounts receivable, internal financial reports as well as other reports, duties and responsibilities as needed and when required.
  • Implement internal controls, policies and procedures and monitor compliance.
  • Liaison with multiple operational Divisions
  • Ensure all procedures and polices are in place & followed.
  • Perform any other duties, responsibilities as needed and when required.
