Your leadership will help shape a high-performing team that supports Trivett’s continued growth and success. Core Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and supervise Accounting Associates to ensure departmental goals and deadlines are met. Oversee daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and reporting. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Ensure bills, invoices, and vendor payments are processed accurately and on time. Oversee expense allocations and ensure accurate store-level reporting. Verify benefit invoices and employee coverage costs for accuracy. Contribute to strategic financial planning, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with other departments to support company objectives and streamline operations. Assist with monthly and year-end close, audits, and preparation of financial statements. Research and resolve discrepancies while maintaining thorough documentation. Support the Controller and Accounting Manager with special projects, journal entries, and analyses. Cross-train within the department to ensure flexibility and coverage during peak periods. Qualifications What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented accounting professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both mentoring others and getting into the details when needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Broad accounting knowledge with a strong understanding of internal controls. Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—and comfort learning new systems. Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required. Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Experience managing financials for multiple business entities or retail locations preferred. Advanced Excel skills (creating and managing mid-level spreadsheets).
