Job Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Reporting line: Chief Accountant Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will coordinate the financial closing process of a listed entity and prepare the full set of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and Statement of Changes in Equity). The role requires the ability to critically review quarter-end figures to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The position will also own vessel revenue recording, monitoring, and reconciliation and monitor loan facilities (amortization, interest). A solid shipping accounting background, ideally with experience in US-listed environments, is essential. Main Responsibilities Financial Statements: Prepare quarterly BS, P&L, CF, and Equity statements; maintain supporting schedules, and analytical reviews. Coordination with external auditors: Address audit queries promptly and provide supporting documentation. Revenue Accounting: Record, monitor, and reconcile vessel revenue (hire statements, off-hire, claims); liaise with operators; prepare and reconcile TCE schedules. Loans Monitoring: Maintain repayment schedules (principal/interest), book interest / accruals, reconcile lender cards. Banking & Treasury Support: Review bank transactions, support cash flow reporting, and liaise with financial institutions as needed. Collaboration & Improvement: Collaborate effectively with internal departments, contribute to process improvements and participate in ad hoc projects based on business needs Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification will be considered an asset 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, within the shipping industry Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP Familiarity with Benefit accounting software will be considered an asset Advanced Excel skills; strong data integrity and documentation discipline Fluent in both Greek and English (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Daily Lunch Allowance Life & Health Insurance Dental Insurance Special Bday Gift Annual Discretionary Bonus Opportunities for Growth
