Join the OUCU Financial team as an Accounting Supervisor and play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our mission to serve our members. As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee the dedicated accounting personnel responsible for posting and balancing the books of account. Your leadership will ensure accuracy and compliance across various accounting functions including the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals. You will take charge of the preliminary preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss statements, supervise the coding of invoices and vouchers ensuring proper account distribution, and drive the compilation of data for both scheduled and special account reports, analyses, and financial statements. Duties Include: Performs daily and monthly account balancing. Reviews status of cash account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and directs research and corrections as necessary. Acts as Subject Matter Expert for the Accounting team on Credit Union projects and acts as department lead for projects originating in the Accounting department. Responsible for all accrual entries, valuations of servicing rights and goodwill and the establishment of reserves as needed. Maintains fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Supervises functions of the accounting department, including performance appraisals, training and development, managing department leave, etc. At OUCU Financial, we believe that our employees make the difference. The pay for this position starts at $29.48 per hour, with relevant education and experience considered in determining the starting pay rate. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with relevant prior work experience, or equivalent education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Previous experience with accounting software of modules preferred. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and applicable State and Federal regulations. Knowledge of laws and regulations covering the management and retention of various types of records. Detail oriented and organized with excellent communication skills, strong critical thinking skills, and a high level of professionalism. Must be capable of effectively handling multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities and capable of exercising the highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Position can be remote, hybrid, or in-branch. Occasional travel to the Athens branch required if working remotely.
