What You'll Do: * Prepare monthly journal vouchers/ financial statements * Reconcile general ledger accounts * Creation of expense and CAPEX pivot files * Fixed asset tracking – acquisitions and disposals * Prepare forecasts of revenue, expenses, and CAPEX * Quarterly/ year-end jurisdictional reporting (FERC, PSC, State) * Review property tax appraisals * Cost of service analyses * Track pipe miles/ inventory * Payroll costing * Directly supervises work product of subordinates; of one or more accounting clerks What We're Looking For: Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities * A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with two (2) years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. * Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators * Understanding basic accounting principles * Attention to detail with the ability to verify accuracy in one’s own work * Ability to work in team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple activities successfully while adhering to deadlines. * Self-motivated, professional and courteous demeanor, dependable and punctual. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel software applications and preferably Oracle. * Ability to master various in-house software applications is essential.
