Focusing on Indonesian consumers being super sticky to their phones, Populix facilitates a diverse range of data collection methods via its mobile app. What you will do: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements. Contribute to financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes Support tax compliance activities, including the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations. Assist in researching and interpreting tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities Perform various accounting tasks, such as recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Assist in the preparation of journal entries and month-end/year-end closing activities Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to management. Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and other financial metrics to evaluate the company's financial performance Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of financial records. Collaborate with internal auditors to assess compliance and recommend process improvements Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to compile accurate and timely financial projections. Monitor actual financial results against budgets and forecasts and provide analysis of variances Support compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, statutory filings, and other regulatory reports accurately and within deadlines Collaborate with the accounting and tax team, providing assistance, guidance, and support as needed. Contribute to maintaining efficient workflow, effective communication, and adherence to timelines What you will need: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required 3-5 year of experience in accounting, tax, or finance roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations. Experience in a similar senior-level role is preferred Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making Familiarity with tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Exposure to tax planning, tax provision, and tax return preparation is beneficial Familiarity with accounting software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and tax software is advantageous Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. Ability to review and analyze financial statements and reports for completeness and compliance Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work well within a team Fluent in English Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) are highly preferred Behavioral skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance Fluent in English CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is highly preferred
