Job Details Job Location: El Camino Real Charter High School - Woodland Hills, CA Position Type: Classifed Education Level: High School Salary Range: $22.02 - $26.83 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Accounting Description Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director/Manager of Accounting & Finance, the Accounting Tech I supports the business office with a variety of tasks related to payroll, accounts payable, procurement, and other areas, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of school operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable. Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies. May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed. Coordinates the purchasing and/or accounts payable process, collaborating with teachers and staff to generate purchase requisitions, reimbursement forms, and invoice payments while ensuring proper documentation is secured through the school’s financial software. May assist with student store duties and facilitate merchandise and ticket sales, as well as collect fees and payments, within the student store. Act as a cashier during school events, delivering exceptional service and fostering a positive experience for attendees. Provide periodic basic computer support to staff and students as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Knowledge of: Basic knowledge of accounting principles Knowledge of accounting software preferred Ability to: Communicate clearly and effectively Read, understand, and interpret accounting and fiscal requirements, procedures, and policies. Ability to work in teams and with various stakeholders Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year experience in accounting preferred. Experience working with charter schools preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Coursework in accounting preferred.
