Responsibilities

ROLE

This is a dual-purpose role which will combine month-end business as usual core finance function duties and will support the implementation of a new (ERP) system… .The post holder may have the opportunity to assist with user acceptance testing and end user training as well as pre-go-live and post go-live activities. The work will vary depending on priorities and work pressures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Posting month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation & VAT.·
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly income reconciliations.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of financial analysis reports.
  • Provide cover for the Income team, when required.
  • Provide assistance with data cleansing of all relevant data on current systems.· Assist with data migration preparations across all relevant modules, including the completion of templates.
  • Assist with reconciliation activities between legacy and new ERP systems to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting.
  • Working in close collaboration with the business and system vendors, assist with preparations for user acceptance testing, identifying and resolving issues.· Assist with cutover preparations.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure that all users have been setup on new systems with the correct permissions.
  • Assist with go-live.
  • Assist with post-go live support provision.
  • Any other tasks which are deemed necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new ERP system.

At least 4 years relevant and recent experience operating as an Accounting Technician (QBE) ideally within the last 5 years (experience to include posting journals, prepayments & accruals, VAT, balance sheet reconciliations (to include bank reconciliations) and annual returns in line with the principal duties outlined for the role),

  • Excellent IT skills (finance systems, databases and spreadsheets)
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, both internally and externally and explain finance information clearly and concisely to non-finance colleagues
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage own multiple workload
