OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Accounting Technician will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and other financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our financial services.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, or PeopleSoft is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll systems (ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro), and bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation and analysis effectively.
  • Strong mathematical skills for budgeting and financial reporting tasks.
  • Familiarity with Kronos for timekeeping may be advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
