So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? - Supervises a group of associates involved in the performance of a wide variety of accounting duties such as accounts payable accounts receivable sales and invoice audit account reconciliation and the preparation of reports. Will have oversight of multiple business units and or complexes. - Compiles the Daily Sales Summary Report from register readings received daily for each department and from Daily Sales Cash Reports by entering appropriate retail and service sales as well as other required data obtained into appropriate accounting applications. - Validates the accuracy of RGR data moving from the merchandising system to the accounting system. Maintains daily duplicate RGR reports and makes corrections as necessary. Monitoring purchase orders contracts renewal and billing and western union transactions. Responsible for Cash Office functions and activities. Performs other related duties assigned - Assigns work provides on-the-job training orientation and instructions on new procedures provides guidance and assistance to subordinates in connection with problems encountered. The Qualifiers: · Three years of experience in accounting functions which enabled the applicant to apply knowledge of established accounting and related data processing procedures and techniques. · One year of responsible experience in the following analyzing classifying or recording transactions balancing reconciling adjusting or examining accounts developing or verifying accounting data for reports statements and schedules analysis of accounting data and or designing or developing more efficient effective processing methods accounting or similar experience that demonstrated the following mathematic aptitude and accuracy attention to detail good cognitive skills in applying procedures and resolving discrepancies financial software skills. · Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelors degree for 3 years of general experience.
