SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Maths at Grade C or above at GCSE (or equivalent)
· Good numerical skills
· Excellent systems skills and a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft products, to include an intermediate knowledge of Excel
· Good IT knowledge as will need to learn internal screening systems from a finance aspect and also Microsoft Business Central (finance system for which training will be given)
· The ability to manage a variety of tasks and to given deadlines
· Enthusiasm, a personable communication style and excellent attention to detail
A “can do” attitude and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are currently working in a hybrid fashion with the ability to work from home, however for a minimum of three days a week, you will be required at our Head Offices in Basingstoke.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will work predominantly across the Security Watchdog business based in Basingstoke and will report to the Finance Manager. This is a hybrid role, with a mixture of office based (3 days a week) and home working. There may also be the need to travel to our Milton Keynes and London offices when needed to collaborate with other parts of the business.
The Finance team support all areas within the business meaning this role provides variety and exposure to different stakeholders across Matrix. It is essential that we have a high level of accuracy in our work, providing correct and timely information.
The key responsibilities for this role will be admin based and you will be trained by members of the finance team to work on Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and cashbook postings. The work involved will include:

ADHOC TASKS (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

· Assistance with weekly and monthly finance reports
· Updating systems with changes to customer and supplier information
· Maintaining the finance mailbox and actioning client/supplier/business requests as necessary
· Weekly, monthly and ad hoc finance duties as requested in line with business deadlines
