PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary administrative, technical skills, experience and competence to immediately add value to the work of the company, team and residents and to ensure the timely delivery of delegated tasks and quality services under general supervision only. The appointee will:

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, ATTAINMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good general level of education
  • Have a high degree of computer literacy – to include competence in the following Microsoft applications – word processing, spreadsheets, databases, file management, e-mail and the internet, Collsoft, Epic Care, Quickbooks
  • Excellent numeracy skills with knowledge and skills in the preparation and maintenance of proper financial records and banking procedures and reporting on same.

DESIRABLE SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience and/or ability to carry out payroll functions including PAYE/PRSI returns and a knowledge of payroll software
  • Knowledge of operation of IT networks
  • Ability to facilitate and support the work of team members

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Administrator will provide accounts administrative support for the effective and efficient running of Ennis Road Care Facility.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Including but not limited to the following:
  • Purchasing and ordering for Ennis Road Care Facility Ltd
  • Accounts Payable for Ennis Road Care Facility Ltd- including approval, processing, payment and filing
  • Accounts receivable for Residents & Sponsors(HSE) of Ennis Road Care Facility
  • including services, payments, reconciliations, meeting with families, setting up DD, credit collection.
  • Account receivable: Ennis Road Care Facility Ltd.
  • Payroll - Timepoint
  • Cover for reception as requested (Annual Leave Cover/Lunch Cover/Sickness Cover)
  • To attend meetings as directed by senior management, take minutes and keep notes
  • To prepare and assist in the collection of data for monthly, quarterly and annual reports as may be required.
  • To undertake ongoing training and professional development, appropriate to the effective and timely discharge of the duties of the post
  • To perform such other duties, appropriate to the role, as may be required.

FINANCIAL DUTIES

  • To assist and maintain full and accurate financial records of all transactions of residents and on behalf of Ennis Road Care Facility. This could include preparing and processing payroll.
  • To ensure that effective management and accountability processes are in place for the centre and management of the authorised budget.
