Contract type: 3-month FTC, extension possible
Hours: 37.5 - full-time
Salary: circa £39,000 depending on experience
Location: Canary Wharf, London
WFH policy: Employees are required to attend the office 2 days/week

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Essential:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience with dealing with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills essential.
  • Ability to establish relationships with a range of people to support delivery of business outcomes.
  • Be willing to be flexible to meet the challenges of a growing business.

Desirable:

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Accounts Analyst will report to the External Reporting Manager and will be responsible for administering the operational Accounts Payable and Receivables, while performing month end tasks.
The role is responsible for efficiently and accurately handling all operational financial transactions related to outgoing payments and incoming receipts. Their primary focus will be on managing invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to LCCC’s suppliers.
The role will also be responsible for performing general ledger reconciliations as part of the month end process. This involves ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the LCCC accounts inbox making sure that internal and external queries are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the Procurement Team to ensure that Purchase Orders are in place prior to invoices being received.
  • Review and process invoices from suppliers ensuring that invoices are accurate, properly coded and approved for payment in Sage X3.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs to suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate Accounts Payable records by filing relevant documents e.g. invoices, payment runs, supplier statements and bank statements in the appropriate folders.
  • Work closely with the Reporting & Planning team to raise sales invoices accurately and promptly while monitoring and following up on any outstanding balances.
  • Verify and post credit card statements onto Sage X3 ensuring receipts are submitting and approved by budget holders within the deadlines.
  • Produce bank reconciliations making sure all transactions have been accurately recorded and the accounts are balanced.
  • Manage LCCC’s Fixed Assets schedules ensuring that assets are correctly recorded, depreciated and remain in use.
  • Prepare, check and post journals in Sage X3 for regular monthly transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the month end accounts including updating the balance sheet reconciliation packs.
  • Actively contribute to the development and improvement of LCCC’s accounting processes and procedures whilst collaborating with staff across the business.
  • Support the Finance and Procurement team with any ad-hoc requirements.
