JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Admin and Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our busy golf retail business. This is a varied role involving general office administration, financial record keeping, and support across stock management and customer service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in an administrative or accounts assistant role, ideally within retail or hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office software.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or FreeAgent (preferred).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Provide administrative support to management and the wider team.
  • Handle emails and customer enquiries, always ensuring professional communication.
  • Maintain digital and paper filing systems including supplier orders, invoices, and staff records.
  • Support with HR admin such as staff schedules, holiday tracking, and payroll documentation.

ACCOUNTS AND FINANCE DUTIES:

  • Assist with processing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier payments.
  • Reconcile daily sales reports from the golf shop, online store, and custom fitting services.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, petty cash, and credit card expense tracking.
  • Assist with preparing documentation for VAT returns and year-end accounts.
