SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of audit and accounting procedures.
  • Experience in managing accounts preparation within an accountancy practice. - Audit Desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Ability to manage a team and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As an Accounts (& Audit) Manager, you will play a key role in the management and delivery of services to a varied portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounts to take the next step in their career and be part of a collaborative and supportive team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading and managing accounts assignments from planning to completion for a portfolio of clients.
  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Managing relationships with clients and maintaining regular communication to ensure the timely delivery of services.
  • Preparing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS, and other applicable standards.
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff and assisting in their development.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax computations and assisting with other areas of tax compliance.
  • Ensuring that deadlines are met and that work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining and managing client records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
