KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • ACA / ACCA partly qualified, qualified or finalist, or qualified by experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance.
  • Experience in corporation tax and personal tax (some personal tax experience is essential).
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and IRIS (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
    · Office based – 5 days per week.
    · Only British citizens and candidates with ILR will be considered.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts and Tax Senior to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts preparation, corporation tax, and some experience in personal tax. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their tax expertise while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for a range of small and medium-sized businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns and computations.
  • Assist with personal tax returns, including self-assessment submissions.
  • Liaise with HMRC on tax-related matters and respond to client queries.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and provide training/support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax legislation.
  • Work closely with senior management and partners to deliver high-quality client service.
