Description

Working alongside the Finance Manager (FM) with responsibility for day-to-day accounting duties in this small, high-tech business. A varied role allowing for exposure to the full scope of accounting duties and opportunities to change/improve processes and systems in conjunction with the FM.

  • Administer finance documentation such as invoices, expenses, receipts etc as directed by the FM
  • Accounts payables
  • Accounts receivables
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory reporting as agreed with the FM (e.g. VAT returns).
  • Support the processing and management of new sales and renewals.
  • Support with the administration of resellers.
  • Maintain the asset registers.
  • Assist FM at Year-end or with other formal accountancy reporting requirements.
  • Process, manage and reconcile financial records including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other book-keeping activities e.g. expenses and petty cash.
  • Manage payments and the outstanding debt process where required.
  • Help to manage the effective administration of the accounting software and CRM system.
  • Handle all accounts@ emails from customers and suppliers and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all statutory and business records are kept up to date and accurate.
  • A willingness to understand, learn and master the relevant Finance procedures.
  • Assist with other administrative duties where appropriate.
  • Administer the billing and financial aspects of product changes.
  • Support with the month end process and completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • HR and office support where required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Book-keeping experience and/or Accounting qualification
  • Enthusiasm for Continuing Professional Development.
  • Secure and confident competence using general IT software packages including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of admin, preferably in a Finance Dept, ideally familiar with Xero
  • Organised, tidy and able to work independently in a small team
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Understands pressures of working in a technical environment which is fast-paced
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrable strong administrative skills and attention to detail
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £24,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
